Wie jedes Jahr gibt es mehrere Nintendo-Spiele, bei The Game Awards, die unterschiedliche Auszeichnungen erhalten können. Dieses Mal hat Nintendo genug Hits gesammelt, um mit 15 Nominierungen der am häufigsten nominierte Publisher der Veranstaltung zu sein. Dazu gehören The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom und Super Mario Bros. Wonder für die Kategorie ‘Spiel des Jahres’, Pikmin 4 für ‘Bestes Familienspiel’, Fire Emblem Engage und Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp für ‘Beste Strategie’ und mehr.

Geoff Keighley hat jüngst alle Nominierten bekannt gegeben und die Voting-Phase damit offiziell eröffnet. Weniger als ein Monat trennt uns von der The Game Awards-Nacht vom 7. auf den 8. Dezember 2023 stattfinden wird. Die Stimmen der breiten Masse machen 10 Prozent aus, während die Fachjury eine Entscheidungsgewalt von 90 Prozent besitzt.
